Richmond doesn't get a whole lot of the white stuff, but the powers that be at Play suggested we take advantage of our own version of a snow day; a chance to get away from the routine, reflect on the past, and be reminded of all of the things that make us uniquely Play. For two days, the team shared stories from long ago (the day Andy and Christine met Gekko, collecting loose change for Paige's retirement fund, a feigned lotto win). We laughed - and winced - at Ben's recount of the time he smashed his privates in his dresser drawer. We wrote on bananas, ate a grease-filled lunch at River City Diner, played ping pong, drank hot cocoa, and searched for a baby jesus in a Mexican pastry. And of course there were tears of appreciation and gratitude... for bonds shared between siblings and teammates, for successes and failures that brought wisdom and maturity, and for a company that has and always will be about people, play, profit.
