How would our world change if we invested even more energy in reimagining what is already a part of our lives? Does this happen under our noses every day?
These are the questions I am pondering today as I stare down at the slightly chewed but forever loyal bic pen in my hand. Check out even more "reimagined bics" (and the instructions for building a bic blowdart gun...sweet) at design boom. Designboom is...well...one of those cool, fun, inspirational, and wickedly awesome sites that unexpectedly (but happily) sucks time out of a day.
What have you seen reimagined lately?
Think About It (a bic pen) Harder.

I have a ton of USB cords that compete for space in the side of my little Mac. One minute I need the printer cord, then the camera, then the external hard drive. Not to mention my mouse. So i use the spring mechanism that's integrated in my desk lamp to hold all those cords right at arms length. May be lazy. may be brilliant.
I took an unnatural pleasure in creating weapons out of household items as a child. I guess it is the curse of being the oldest of four. I have been using the bic pen as a blow gun for years. I guess it goes to show that all innovation comes from disaffected youth, the group with the greatest need to affect change. That and prisoners.
Then you will love the "bic bow and arrow". And, prisoners and disaffected youth...kind of one in the same. As a disaffected youth...it is really just a different type of cell.
Hey Designer...I am going with brilliant. Take a pic of it and send my way.
