Volunteerness

Thursday, October 26, 2006

It's almost November and really getting cold during the day. I was thinking about people who spend most of their day outside working, waiting for the bus, or for some, even sleeping. I know we are really busy with big projects for November, but maybe for December we could do a group volunteer activity. Feeding the homeless at a shelter or donating to Angel Tree is great but really standard; can we think of something more Play-esque that we could do one afternoon together?

Like suprising the people who ride the bus to work with hot chocolate one morning.

Or bringing donuts to the toll booth workers during our morning commute.

Hand warmers for construction workers to put in their pockets.

Scrape the snow off car windows in an outdoor parking lot.

Drive for Meals on wheels in groups of three and have fun while we deliver hot plates.

just a spring board. Not mandatory, just for those who could use some do-good in their lives.
