Labor Day has come and gone. Summer is (basically) behind us. And little kids are currently sporting the new “back to school” duds. What does this mean for us? It’s the move into a new quarter, both in a literal and figurative sense. Andy asks: What’s on your mind? What are you excited about? How are you feeling? Give yourself the next day or so to do a gut-check. Do you feel the momentum of this new season? What goals are you striving for today? Next week? The end of the 2008 year?

personally - I'm looking forward to scarf weather and a chance to turn off the AC.

professionally - gearing up for the ever-busy fall semester at Play. Looking forward to getting the ideas that germinated over the summer into full bloom...

I am thinking alot about how small the world is becoming, actually. I am currently in Santa Ana, Costa Rica, working with a client that is in Des Moines, Iowa. Using Skype + WebEx, we are able to interact almost daily. They needed some expertise in an area that i didn't know, so i have engaged with a company that turns out to be in Russia . . . all this for a travel agency in Costa. Anyways, it is fun if you can get technology to work into your quality of life (but i do freak out when i lose my internet connection!).

My point: i am thinking about other things that can be done down here. Why not advertising creative & copywriting? That's obvious, so there has to be others . . . .
